DMEXCO 2020: Corona FAQ

Dear DMEXCO community,

We are currently receiving enquiries about whether a potential threat from the occurrence of the coronavirus (COVID-19) will have an impact on our DMEXCO. 

For Koelnmesse’s part, we take this topic seriously, because the health of all trade fair participants is paramount.  

The measures in Germany are being fine-tuned on a nearly daily basis. This has implications for the requirements and recommendations of the authorities, including for the organisation of trade fairs. Specifically, the time limits that apply to all of these measures cannot be foreseen at this point in time.  

With this in mind, Koelnmesse will use its judgement in the effort to continue to prepare the  DMEXCO on the dates already planned as it assesses the situation on an ongoing basis. We will make all decisions for or against implementation of a particular event as early as possible and will, of course, notify all parties involved without delay.

Will visitor tickets be reimbursed if they are bought now but the DMEXCO is canceled/postponed due to the coronavirus?

If a Koelnmesse event is postponed or cancelled by Koelnmesse, buyers will be reimbursed for all visitor tickets already paid for. Voucher codes will no longer be valid; new codes will be made available for the new date.

Will exhibitors get a refund in the event of a postponement/cancellation due to the coronavirus?

  • If an event is cancelled by Koelnmesse, exhibitors will be reimbursed 100% of the payments made to Koelnmesse.
  • If Koelnmesse postpones a trade fair, existing contracts remain valid for the new date. If the exhibitors do not follow this offer, they will cancel their existing contracts and will then be refunded 100% of their payments they have made to Koelnmesse.
